Rollerblade Racer

Rollerblade Racer is a rather different kind of skating game. In this game sure you skate. That's normal for skating games. But what's strange about this game is that it seems to promote helemets and pads. I haven't seen any other NES games do the same.

This game is not the trick-doin, grinding, hardcore skater game like say Thrilla's Safari. It has no tricks (well I think it has one that's hard to do and your better off not wasting your time) and all you do is jump. I guess it's more down to Earth that way. You skate through a level passing the time limit (not hard to do),a nd jumping over cracks in the pavement and various other obsticles. Sometimes you can really start going fast, but then things become a problem.

I enjoy the music, it's simple and well flowing. Although this game may not be good enough for some people. It takes a lot of practice to work your way up, but that's only if this game keeps your intrest long enough. But when you fall too many times your game is over and then this message comes up:

"Rollerblading is like most things and takes practice. Don't get discouraged. In-line skating is so much fun lets try agian"

Amusing to say the least. This game is a good game but nothing to jump off the roof of your house naked making duck noises for. I got it for free off my friend. This game is fun, for a while at least.
